FOS is a high potency soluble fibre powder, made from fructooligosaccharides derived from chicory. It provides 10 grams of soluble fibre per dose, and naturally tastes sweet without spiking blood sugar levels, making it a useful alternative to sugar and sweeteners. It may be difficult to reach daily requirements for fibre, so FOS can be used daily.
Some people may be genetically predisposed to having lower levels of beneficial bacteria, so a higher fibre intake may be beneficial. FOS can be stirred into liquids, sprinkled onto muesli or added to smoothies, and is presented as an easy to use powder, taken as one tablespoon (10g) daily.

Recommended Intake
