Many moments in history have turned the world upside down and changed the way we live, work, behave, and think. The year 2020 is one of them. Our thoughts and actions today will have an influence on whether this year makes or breaks us as a global community, and how it is remembered by future generations. While some have rejoiced in the idea of working from the comfort of their home and continued to work relatively as normal, others have been severely affected financially, physically, and/or mentally. There is no doubt that the current pandemic has affected us all, in one way or another.
As we enter this new phase of trying to go back to work and back to school, we are also avidly following the latest news updates and many of us are growing concerned about what the future holds. Now is an opportune time to reflect on how we have been doing so far during this pandemic, how we can best support ourselves moving forwards, and how we can grow through this experience, stronger and wiser.
In these unprecedented times, we all need to adapt to the situation, not least how we live, shop, and work. Whilst we at BioCare have remained open for businesses, we are aware that many of you may be struggling in different ways. We therefore wanted to remind you that we are here to support you.
We work closely with holistic practitioners, advising and educating them, to help them play their important role in shaping a healthier society. For this reason, we recently conducted a Practitioner Survey to get an insight into how they are coping given the current situation. Whilst some results were specific to practitioners, actually a large proportion of them are relevant to us all. What stood out was people wanting more product advice, help with their accounts, being informed of product changes and what’s in stock, and receiving news and education about health and nutrition.

In these times of uncertainty, with the coronavirus pandemic escalating, and the rise of self-isolation and working from home for a currently unknown length of time, we want you to know that we’re here for you. We’re working hard to stay abreast of the rapidly developing guidelines and research, so we can help to keep you informed and healthy.
We also want to use this opportunity to impart some positivity at this strange time. There is a lot going on, and a lot of unanswered questions, however, there are several things that we do know. This will pass. We will go back to work. Normal daily life will resume. While we do not know how long it will take to get to this point, there are many things that we can all do to support ourselves. Let’s make sure to use this time wisely for reflection and self-care.
We need to do everything we can to harness the might of our immune system to ensure that it is primed to respond swiftly and efficiently should it come into contact with coronavirus, to help minimise its impact on the body. So without further ado, we have compiled our top tips for boosting immunity, maintaining a positive outlook, and keeping healthy at this most challenging of times.
